Vikar is a modern beauty brand built on a quiet but powerful belief: makeup should never make you feel uneasy about your own skin.
In an industry driven by excess, pressure, and overpromising, beauty has become loud, complicated, and often intimidating. Ingredient lists feel confusing, products can feel harsh, and
comfort is frequently treated as secondary to performance. Somewhere along the way, wearing makeup stopped feeling simple.
Vikar exists to change that.
We were created to remove the constant trade-off between performance and skin safety, confidence and comfort, quality, and trust. Because no one should have to second-guess what they apply to their face every single day.
At its core, VIKAR stands for mindful transformation.
The name Vikar is pronounced as “Vikr”, with the “a” silent, and means change, but not the kind rooted in fixing flaws or chasing unrealistic standards. For us, transformation is internal. It is the shift from anxiety to ease, from doubt to confidence, from pressure to choose. Makeup is not about becoming someone else; it is about feeling more at home in your own skin.
Every Vikar product is developed with real skin in mind, sensitive, acne-prone, everyday skin, without sacrificing performance, wearability, or joy. Beauty should enhance, not overwhelm.

Meet the Founder
Before founding VIKAR, I worked as a makeup artist, where makeup was part of my everyday life. Working closely with different skin types helped me understand how products truly perform on real skin. In 2020, I began working professionally around makeup in a more structured environment, gaining hands-on exposure to formulations, finishes, and performance across brands.
I later moved to Canada to pursue further studies in Social Media Marketing. During this time, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which brought hormonal acne and heightened skin sensitivity.
Around the same period, I worked at Sephora Canada as a Product Advisor, where wearing makeup every day was part of the job. As my skin changed, makeup slowly shifted from self- expression to discomfort. Products meant to boost confidence were instead causing irritation and congestion.
That experience stayed with me.
When I looked back at the Indian beauty market, I noticed a clear gap. Products were either high quality but inaccessible, or affordable but compromising on skin safety and performance. I did not want makeup to feel like a choice between your skin and your confidence. I founded VIKAR to create makeup that feels safe for sensitive and acne-prone skin, while still performing beautifully in everyday life. Every product is shaped by experience, intention, and a deep respect for real skin.
The name VIKAR means change. For me, that change is internal. It is about comfort, self- acceptance, and confidence in your own skin, exactly as it is.
